Born and raised in Alberta, Hardy Maier has always been rooted in a love for Canada’s landscapes and a drive to build a meaningful career. In 1983, he made the pivotal move to the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, where he soon met his wife, with whom he has shared a remarkable 38-year journey. Together, they built a life that would combine professional success with a deep commitment to family and community.

For two decades, Hardy dedicated himself to furnishing hotels across Canada and the United States, establishing a reputation for quality and reliability in the hospitality industry. Through managing the supply chain, sourcing, and importing materials worldwide, he developed not only a keen eye for quality but also a sophisticated understanding of global logistics. This extensive experience led Hardy to pursue a degree in Supply Chain Management, amplifying his expertise in cost efficiency and procurement. He subsequently contracted with major companies, helping them reduce expenses on goods and services while maintaining high standards.

While managing his business career, Hardy invested in his passion for real estate. Over the years, he purchased several revenue-generating properties, which he skillfully renovated and sold in the thriving BC real estate market. This hands-on involvement in property construction and maintenance gave him invaluable insight into home construction, renovation, and investment—a foundation that would later enrich his career as a REALTOR®.

Hardy’s love for British Columbia began early. Starting at the age of six, he spent countless summers camping in Osoyoos, the Okanagan, and his cherished Shuswap Lake, long before houseboats or lakefront homes became common sights. These formative experiences instilled in him a profound appreciation for the natural beauty and adventurous lifestyle of the area. His childhood memories inspired him to buy his first recreational property in 1999 at Eagle Bay, a place where he could share the joys of waterfront living with his family, echoing the idyllic summers of his youth.

In 2009, Hardy turned his passion for real estate into a full-time career, becoming a REALTOR® on the West Coast and Fraser Valley areas. Over the years, he has achieved numerous accolades and sold over 400 homes, helping countless clients realize their own dreams of homeownership. In 2020, Hardy took another significant step by purchasing a homestead in the Shuswap, allowing him to work full-time as a REALTOR® in the Thompson/Okanagan region, backed by a fantastic team dedicated to client satisfaction.
