Matt was born and raised in Saint John New Brunswick. He attended McDonald Consolidated, on the Kingston Peninsula, from grades 2-9 and graduated from Kennebacisis Valley High School in 1989. He was your average kid riding snowmobiles and playing sports where he eventually found his sports calling playing Hockey as a goalie (Not a bad one if I must say). Matt’s parents decided to change things up and move west to Victoria in 1991 where he met his amazing wife Nicky. Matt’s strong work ethic began when he was 16 working summers at the family business. He eventually moved on to working for CIBC for almost 10 years followed by managing a small Victoria business for another 20.
